§01NAUTIX and OpenMarine

Yacht data in the industry's own language.

The yacht record in Yachtbase is structured to be compatible with the NAUTIX and OpenMarine standards, so data moves in and out without being flattened into a spreadsheet.

§02What flows

In and out, always linked.

→From NAUTIX and OpenMarine into Yachtbase

  • NAUTIX XML uploaded for import
  • Validation, conflict resolution and an optional skip-review step
  • Retry for imports that need another pass

←From Yachtbase back out

  • Generated NAUTIX feeds
  • A tokenised feed for each partner
  • Push to partners that accept it

§03Why it matters

Three things that change.

01

Compatible by design

Dimensions, hull, accommodation, engines and ten equipment groups are modelled to line up with the standards.

02

Reviewed before it lands

Imports are validated and conflicts surfaced, so incoming data does not overwrite your record unnoticed.

03

Out as well as in

The same record that feeds your brochures and listings can be exported as a feed for partners to pull.

§04Connect

Three steps to connect.

  1. Step 1

Upload a NAUTIX XML file, or create a feed for a partner.

  2. Step 2

Review validation results and resolve any conflicts.

  3. Step 3

Confirm the import, or share the tokenised feed link with your partner.

Provider dependent. Exchange with a partner depends on that partner supporting the standard and agreeing the connection.

§06Questions

Asked and answered.

What is NAUTIX?

An XML standard used in the yacht industry to exchange yacht data between systems.

And OpenMarine?

A further industry data standard. Yachtbase includes an adapter for it alongside NAUTIX.

Will an import overwrite my records?

Imports are validated and conflicts are presented for you to resolve before anything is applied.

Can a partner pull my data automatically?

Yes, through a tokenised feed that you can regenerate if you need to revoke access.
