Growth

Be found, be answered, be remembered.

Growth in yachting is mostly a matter of accurate listings, a website that answers questions and a reply that arrives promptly. A few habits, practised steadily.

01

Start with accurate listings

Buyers and charterers compare. A complete, consistent specification on every portal beats a clever headline. Keep one yacht record and publish from it, so that a correction reaches every portal at once.

Yachtbase's readiness score shows what is missing before a yacht is marketed, and the sync history shows what each portal received.

02

Make your own website do some work

Portals send enquiries to you, but a website can send them directly. Give each yacht a page with real specifications, good photographs and a clear way to ask a question.

  • One page per yacht or destination, with a descriptive title.
  • Honest descriptions that match the listing.
  • A short form that asks only what you need.

03

Capture the enquiry properly

Use a branded form rather than an email address. Yachtbase Forms store each submission against the version the person saw, record consent and the source, and create or update the client and the enquiry.

At a show, give each broker a personal link, so the lead is attributed to the right person.

04

Track where enquiries come from

Every enquiry carries a source, whether website, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, a marketplace or a partner. Look at the sources occasionally and keep the ones that earn their place.

05

Follow up without pestering

Leads are lost in the gap after the first reply. Use tasks and reminders for follow-ups, and keep the mailing list in step with the CRM through the Mailchimp integration, where you send campaigns.
