Mailchimp, in sync both ways
Two-way synchronisation between your CRM and Mailchimp audience.

One source of truth for your audience
Your marketing team maintains a Mailchimp audience for newsletters and campaigns. Your sales team builds the client list in Yachtbase. They are the same people, but the lists are different. An email campaign bounces because Yachtbase has a newer address. A Mailchimp tag gets assigned but never makes it back to the CRM. You spend time manually merging and cleaning data.
Yachtbase syncs with Mailchimp in both directions. Import your Mailchimp audiences into Yachtbase as clients. When you add a client in Yachtbase, they are added to Mailchimp automatically. If a client unsubscribes from Mailchimp, their status updates in Yachtbase. Mailchimp tags become searchable in your CRM. Form submissions in Yachtbase can be synced as Mailchimp audience members.
The sync respects privacy: unsubscribed contacts do not appear in new syncs. Tags, merge fields and segments flow both ways. Your marketing campaigns use the same data your sales team uses, so everything is current.
What you can do now
- Import Mailchimp audiences: Connect your Mailchimp account (OAuth) and choose an audience. Yachtbase imports subscribers as clients, matching names, emails and merge fields to CRM fields.
- Auto-sync new clients: New clients created in Yachtbase are added to the Mailchimp audience automatically. Mailchimp tags on those contacts are synced back to Yachtbase.
- Map custom fields: Set up rules so Mailchimp merge fields (e.g. "Company", "Preferences") match Yachtbase client fields.
- Sync form submissions: When a Yachtbase form is submitted, the respondent is added to a chosen Mailchimp audience. Form answers become Mailchimp merge fields.
- Respect unsubscribes: If a contact unsubscribes in Mailchimp, their status updates in Yachtbase so your sales team does not try to email them.
- Scheduled sync: Yachtbase syncs changes automatically. View the sync history and retry if needed.
Why it matters
Disconnected marketing and sales data creates friction and error. Marketing sends campaigns to outdated email addresses. Sales pitches to people who have unsubscribed. Prospects get multiple versions of emails because they exist in two systems. Time is spent cleaning and reconciling data instead of building relationships.
Two-way sync means your team has one trusted source. Marketing campaigns reach the right people. Sales and marketing are aligned on who your audience is. Data is current without manual work. The effect is faster, cleaner marketing and better conversion.
